CONDITIONS OF HIRE
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PERSONS SEATED IN THE AUDITORIUM IS 140.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PERSONS PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES AT ONE TIME IS 190.

NOTES
(a) Hiring of auditorium / kitchen includes use of auditorium, public toilets, foyer, kitchen with crockery, kettles, other kitchen equipment. No reduction may be made if some of these items are not required.
(b) Hiring of full theatre facilities includes everything listed at (a) above plus dressing rooms, backstage toilets, stage with equipment and lighting facilities.
(c) If full theatre facilities are used, the person in charge of stage equipment and lighting controls must be approved the by Society.
(d) No booking will be accepted to finish after 11 p.m.
REFUSAL OF BOOKING
The Society reserves the right to refuse an application without reason being given.
CANCELLATION
The Society reserves the right to cancel any letting on giving seven days notice in writing to the Hirer and will refund any monies paid in respect of the letting so cancelled, without incurring any other liability which the Hirer may have incurred.
Where the Hirer cancels a booking at least twenty-eight days in advance of the date of the hire, the Society will refund 75% of the hire charge.
Where the Hirer cancels a booking less than twenty-eight days in advance of the hire, the Society will refund 10% of the hire charge subject to a minimum of £5.
USE OF THE BARN THEATRE
The Hirer shall ensure that the permitted capacity of the Barn (190 persons) is not exceeded and that the premises are only used for the purpose shown on the application. Sub-letting is not permitted.
PERFORMING RIGHTS LIABILITY
By law, the playing or performing of musical works (live and recorded) may attract a charge by the Performing Rights Society. If the hire involves such playing or performing, the Hirer shall provide the Society, before the event, a detailed list of the musical works involved. An official form is available for such a list. An additional charge of £25 will be levied to cover PRS charges unless the Hirer produces evidence that such charges have already been paid.
INDEMNITY
The Hirer shall be liable for meeting the cost of repair or replacement of any property or equipment broken or damaged during the period of the hire.
The Hirer shall be liable for any claims arising from the death or personal injury suffered by any person arising in any way from the Hirer's negligence and may be required to show evidence of valid insurance prior to acceptance of booking.
PRESERVATION OF GOOD ORDER
The Hirer shall be responsible for the safety of the hired premises and the preservation of good order and shall ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the function. Authorised Officers of the Society shall have access to the premises at any time to satisfy themselves that these responsibilities are being discharged.
EXPIRATION OF LETTING
The Hirer shall leave the premises, equipment and crockery in a clean and orderly state and shall remove his own property immediately the period of letting expires.
COMPLAINTS
Any complaints arising from the hiring shall be raised with the Hon Secretary and confirmed in writing withing 48 hours of the expiration of the let.
